Week 3:The Place of His Birth

Dec 4, 2024    Jeff Conner

Focus: This sermon will look at the prophecy of the Messiah’s birthplace in Micah 5:2. Bethlehem was a small, seemingly insignificant town, yet it was chosen by God to be the birthplace of the eternal ruler.

Main Ponts:

The unlikely and humble nature of Bethlehem, which mirrors Jesus’s humble beginnings.

Jesus as the “ bread of life” born in Bethlehem, which means “ house of bread”.

God’s use of the small and overlooked to fulfill His grand purposes.

Application: God often works though humble and the insignificant according to worldly standards, and we are invited to find Jesus in unexpected places, trusting that He works through the ordinary to accomplish extraordinary things.
